Oke, who’s behind this blog? My name is Arjan Vroege, I am living in Apeldoorn (Netherlands). I am 26 years old and currently working as a Infrastructure Administrator at one of the nicest IT company’s in the Netherlands.
With this blog I want to share information about IT topics which are interesting. I will mainly focus on the following Microsoft System Center Products:
Beside the above products I will also try to post some other interesting IT related stuff. I have you have questions or suggestions please fill this contact forum and I will try to answer asap.
My Home Server
For testing purposes I have a Hyper-V server at home. The server has the followin specs:
- AMD Phenom II X4 945
- 8GB (4 x 2GB) 1333Mhz PC3-10600 CL9 (KVR1333D3N9K2/4G)
- ASUS M4A785T-M
- Samsung SpinPoint F3 Desktop Class HD103SJ 1TB (2x)
- Intel PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter
- Adaptec AAR-1220SA (2x SATA300 RAID, NCQ, PCI-e)
I am running Hyper-V from a Kingston DataTraveler 102 16GB USB stick. The Virtual machines are placed on a RAID0 Array. Backup’s are made through 2 powershell scripts. Below a Visio diagram about my current home test environment. More information to follow….
